Toronto, Canada-GAO Embedded (www.GAOEmbedded.com) has released its high performance universal programmer featuring a 48-pin ZIF socket with universal pin-driver, test vector capability and a multi-array fuse map editor.

The universal programmer is capable of handling many different devices including Programmable Read-Only Memory (PROM), Programmable Logic Devices (PLD), flash microcontrollers and serial or parallel memory. It tests TTL/CMOS logic ICs and dynamic/static Random access memory devices and automatically identifies the manufacturer and type of EPROM.
