Asbru Enterprise Park is located on the former NATO defence area in Keflavik, Iceland. When the U.S. Military left the area, Kadeco, Keflavik Airport Development Company, was established with the task of converting the base and its facilities into area for civilian use. The park is now on the forefront of entrepreneurship, business and academic development in Iceland, with focus on technology, renewable energy, medical tourism and engineering.

Enterprise Park offers real estate openings for health tourism in Iceland

An enterprise park in Iceland is selling off select property for real estate opportunities in health tourism. Asbru, which was formerly the NATO base in Iceland, holds select properties available for purchase at reasonable prices, including the sale of properties in full operation, such as the Icelandic Health Hotel (www.detox.is).

Center for entrepreneurship enterprise park launches new website

Iceland’s center for entrepreneurship and enterprise park, Asbru has recently launched its new updated website. The website now has developed its usability for Asbru’s potential customers, allowing them to find the services they need more efficiently.

The Asbru Enterprise Park was formed at the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) abandoned its military base in Keflavik, Iceland in 2006; with this departure, over 900 local people were left unemployed. Volcano and aviation conference to be held at Iceland Enterprise Park

A volcano and aviation conference, organised by the Keilir Aviation Academy, is to be held at the Asbru Enterprise Park in Iceland between 12th and 15th September 2010.

The conference, titled as ‘the most important aviation conference in 2010’, is set to address the issues faced from the Eyjafjallajokull volcanic eruption and its effects on aviation.

Iceland Asbru Enterprise Park grows as a data center service location

Iceland_Geysir76The Asbru Enterprise Park in Iceland is growing to be the next ideal location for data center management and services, due to the country’s renewable green energy sources.

Verne Holdings, the partnering group of wholesale data developer Verne Global has recently signed a contract with the Wellcome Trust to aid the completion of a 44-acre data center campus at the Asbru Enterprise Park in order to create a powerful solution giving users the opportunity to go green without paying higher rates.

Iceland enterprise park set to open bariatric and weight loss surgery facility

asbru_iceland_19A new hospital facility specialising in bariatric surgery and weight loss surgery is preparing to undergo developments in the second quarter of 2010 at the Asbru Enterprise Park in Iceland.

The hospital will accommodate around 35 hospital beds, three operating theatres and have ability of treating up to 4,000 patients per year. The hospital facility at the Asbru Enterprise Park, situated near Keflavik International Airport, will specialise in weight loss surgery, bariatric surgery and gastric bypass surgery.

New medical tourism and health care centre to be opened in Iceland

stethoscope64A planned health care centre, intended to push Iceland as a key destination for cosmetic surgery and medical tourism, is set to being construction in the second quarter of 2010 at the Asbru Enterprise Park, Keflavik.

The proposed health care centre will specialise in fat-removal and joint replacements, amongst other medical treatments. The centre will also have to capability of treating up to 4,000 patients per year, housing around 35 hospital beds and three operating theatres.

Iceland proposes new Library of Science and Technology

AsbruIceland is soon to establish a new research library; The Library of Science, Engineering and Technology.
