The annual Iceland arts festival is this year celebrating its 40th anniversary. Proceedings begin on May 12th and will be taking place at numerous locations in the heart of downtown Reykjavik until June 5th. This year’s program offers a range of concerts, theatre performances, exhibitions, dances and operas with over 60 events from Icelandic artists and additional artists from abroad.
The Reykjavik Arts Festival will also be holding twenty photography exhibitions in various galleries and museums with several events branching off from them. Artists from all over the world will be attending and participating in the festival this year.
