Everyone’s favourite time of year is fast approaching, but according to a recent survey by MORI, four out of five adults find Christmas stressful. So why not visit Iceland this winter and be the one of five who relax during the festive period.
Lonely Planet, the industry-leading publisher of travel guides launched its Best Travel in 2010 guidebook this week, including 17 travel ‘top tens’. And Iceland is a shock inclusion in the best value travel destinations list for the coming year. Before the global economic crisis, Iceland was more famous for its volcanoes than its value.
Due to Iceland’s ideal location just below the Arctic Circle and with easy flight access for both travellers from Europe and the United States, Iceland is undoubtedly the number one location for viewing the northern lights this winter.
