World Cup prizes to be won with Iceland international airport

The competition focuses on participants predicting the World Cup playoffs with hundreds of prizes to be won including the grand prize, which is a 10-day self drive trip around Iceland.

During the competition, partakers will try to predict the results for each game, whoever predicts the correct results will be awarded with a number of points in relation to the odds on each game. The participant who achieves the highest total number of points wins the game.

ACI awards Iceland International airport during ceremony

keflavik_airport_outside46The Airports Council International (ACI) presented Iceland’s Keflavik International Airport with an award for outstanding customer satisfaction during a recent ceremony in Southern China.

A few staff members from the airport flew over to Sanya in Southern China to attend the ceremony hosted by the ACI in order to receive the award and discuss the future of the aviation industry.

Iceland airport prepares for summer flight schedule

keflavik_airport_summer74Iceland’s Keflavik International Airport is preparing for the extra flight schedules that will begin over the following summer months in time for the influx of travellers. Airport staff has remained focused and positive throughout the past month after the airport was forced to close for a few days due to ash clouds from the volcanic eruption at Eyjafjallajokull.

The airport aims to continue its high standard of service after it was crowned as the ‘Best Airport in Europe’ by Airports Council International. Keflavik airport was highly commended for its overall passenger satisfaction in regards to courtesy and helpfulness of staff, connecting flights, atmosphere and cleanliness.

Icelandair reopen summer flights to Minneapolis

Minneapolis SkylineThe new flights to Minneapolis schedule by Icelandair is set to reopen between May 11th and October 9th, in time for the summer in Iceland. These flights will also be on a daily basis between June 13th and August 22nd to Minneapolis’ St. Paul airport.
